Introduction about Alumnus Mr. Zhou Guofu
Mr. Zhou Guofu, male, graduated from Chongqing University with a bachelor's degree in steel rolling (later renamed as material processing), is a full-time professor and doctoral supervisor of South China Normal University, and the dean of South China Advanced Optoelectronics Research Institute.
Mr. Zhour Guo-fu is one of the second batch of introduced talents by Guangdong Province’s "Pearl River Talent Plan" , outstanding talent from "Guangdong Support Plan" , the former chief scientist of Royal Dutch Philips , a leading figure in the construction of "double first-class" subject - physics, director of "international green optoelectronic joint research center " of China international technology cooperation base, director of the 111 discipline innovation base of national institutions of higher learning, director of optical information joint international cooperation lab of the Ministry of Education of China, team leader of "class paper display technology innovation " sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China, the chief special project scientist of national key R&D plan, well-known expert in photoelectric display material and technology .

Work experience: from March 1995 to June 2004, he served as senior scientist of Philips Research Institute in the Netherlands. From April 2004 to present, chief Scientist of Philips Research in the Netherlands. From May 2005 -- September 2010 Chief Technology Officer and Global Vice President at IREX/IRX Technologies Ltd. From January 2012 to the present, he has been working in South China Normal University.
